- The physical demands placed on a baseball player are unlike that of any other sport. Baseball's basic skills require incredible amounts of power and speed that must be combined with balance and stability in order to perform them with precision. The athletic, core-based training style employed by CSB Conditioning will develop an athlete's strength. Each training session will be held by Miki Kawahara, the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for Diamondawgs Baseball. Coach Kawahara has improved hundreds of baseball players through his baseball-specific strength programs including:
Justin Morneau—Minnesota Twins (MLB)
Aaron Guiel—Yakult Swallows (Japanese Pro League, former NY Yankee)
Adam Loewen—Toronto Blue Jays (MLB, former 1st round draft pick)
Cole Armstrong—Birmingham Barons (White Sox AA affiliate)
Ivan Hartle—Western Kentucky Univ. (NJCAA Div I defensive player of the year in 2010)
Alex Calbick—University of Maine (NCAA Div I-Sophomore)
